Description
No matter the cause of the bleed - out on the roads, in the workshop, in the bush, on the roads or in recreation - keeping blood in circulation is key to survival.
Too many Kiwi's die before the ambulance has time to respond - we are here to change that. PracMed NZ is the first company in New Zealand to build a First Aid course specifically for haemorrhage control.
In the last decade, new tools and skills have been developed for bleeding control through conflict zones around the world. We have captured and simplified this knowledge to bring you our patented Stop the Bleed® First Aid Course.
This highly practical course is designed for every level of First Aider - whether complete beginner or experienced provider, there is something for everyone to learn.
We utilise state of the art training aids to simulate scenarios and use brand new (in packet) gauze and bandages so that every student goes through every single step, from gloving up to post treatment care so they get the full, comprehensive blueprint of how to manage a serious bleed.
While the subject is serious, our courses are light-hearted and fun, with friendly, engaging Trainers who draw on their extensive personal experience to ensure the courses are relatable.
PracMed NZ's First Aid courses are capped to ensure optimal Trainer to student ratios to ensure every student leaves with the confidence to act.

Site Requirements
To run this as a on-site private course, we require a training space with adequate room for practical activities. At any stage, half of the group will be working on partners lying on the ground - we need ample space for them to work safely. As it is quite practical, the room needs to be well ventilated.
We'll need two tables, enough chairs for the participants and space for the projector to display. We're happy to use your AV set up if you have one.
