CRU-R torso detail, showing the injury site and modular limb

TacMed simulator features and specsRugged enough for military application. Versatile enough for clinical care.

Real capability, from point of injury through to clinical care.

  • Self-healing skin Resilient synthetic skin designed for repeated use
  • Rugged urethane core Built for challenging training conditions
  • Modular design Interchangeable components, swapped in without stopping training
  • Swappable limbs Allows varied injury scenarios and customisation
  • Replaceable blood systems Supports powder, paste, and liquid formats
  • Water-resistant Easy to clean and maintain after use
  • 18V Li-ion power Swap-in, swap-out batteries. Minimal downtime between sessions

Built to last

TacMed Simulation high-fidelity simulators are rugged, built to deliver the most lifelike experience for trainees while enabling field exercises in any environment or weather condition. Untethered and battery-operated, the unit survives scenario-based field training the same way your people have to. Modular design means one component can be swapped without stopping training, and it’s powered by swappable 18V Li-ion batteries, so repowering between sessions takes minutes, not hours.

MATTi, TacMed's female trauma patient simulator

Meet MATTi

A genuinely female-bodied simulator, not a reskinned male manikin. Swap her wound configuration in seconds, the system automatically detects whichever one you attach, and her anatomy is correct to match, right down to a catheterable attachment.

  • Interchangeable wounded limb configurations, auto-detected by the unit itself
  • Independent left/right simulated breathing and pneumothorax, 0 to 60 breaths per minute
  • Fully intubatable (ET tube, King LT, i-gel) with nasal passageways for NPA placement
  • Carotid, radial, femoral, and pedal pulses, 20 to 200 bpm
  • Packable inguinal crease wound with pulsed arterial bleeding
  • Catheterable female anatomy, a real accessory, not a surface reskin
  • Needle decompression sites rated for a full-size 14-gauge needle
  • CPR-compliant, rate and depth captured by sensor
  • Three-position rotating eyes: normal, dilated, constricted

Handcrafted in the USA, TCCC/TECC compatible, and operated with the same 180-metre-range TSR remote as the rest of the range.

Real procedures, real detail

From point of injury to clinical care

What the Whole Body Clinical Response (CRU-R) actually covers, across the full casualty journey. Split it in two, independent upper and lower body task trainers, or run it as one full medical simulator, features MATTi’s single-piece design does not offer.

Point of injury

  • Responds to direct femoral artery pressure for immediate bleeding control
  • Sensor feedback on applied pressure, time to occlude, and blood loss volume
  • Crepitus for crushed pelvis injury
  • Water-resistant and rugged, built for the same field conditions as your trainees

Prolonged field care

  • Foley catheterisation for extended monitoring when evacuation is delayed
  • Central line and intraosseous access for ongoing fluid and drug administration
  • Simulated urine output to track a casualty’s condition over time
  • Fast battery swaps mean the simulator can stay in the field for weeks, not hours

Clinical care

  • Simulated heart sounds, ACLS training with programmed megacodes and AAR scorecard
  • Oropharyngeal airway access with BVM response
  • Blood pressure via auscultation or palpation, brachial and femoral pulse
  • Scrotal avulsion

Vital Signs Monitor and Touchscreen Remote Control screen, showing live heart rate, blood pressure, SpO2, respiration rate, and EtCO2

See the result as it happens

The Vital Signs Monitor (VSM) is a wireless touch-screen tablet tracking heart rate, ECG waveform, blood pressure, respiration rate, end-tidal CO2, and SpO2 in real time, with 17 ECG rhythm options from normal sinus through to ventricular fibrillation and asystole. The Touchscreen Remote Control (TSR) operates the scenario from up to 180 metres away, validating real interventions as they happen.

  • Validates real interventions: tourniquet application, hemostatic wound packing, needle decompression, chest tube placement
  • 20 preset scenarios, plus the ability to build your own
  • Full After Action Report at the end of every session

TacMed’s manikins have also featured in blood transfusion training through TacMed’s own BLOOD TO GO program, demonstrated on their simulators.
